The Freestone County Historical Museum needs the community’s help to complete our Freestone County Sheriff display.

We have images of many of our past Sheriffs.  The below list are the sheriffs for which we have no photos.

If anyone in the community has a photo that they can share of any of these men, it would be greatly appreciated.  It can even be a digital copy.

Bring it by the museum and let us scan the photograph, so that the original can be kept by the donor.

The years the men were elected are listed after their names.

Also if anyone knows the full name of L. J. Bennett that would be helpful.

We would like to have this display completed very soon before we have our open house.

The date for the open house has been tentatively set for early October, if everything goes according to schedule.

If you can help, or know someone who might could provide an image for one of these men, please call the museum 903-389-3738.  Museum email is freestonecomuseum@windstream.net.
