Mike and Kim Mooneyham of Fairfield, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, John Michael Mooneyham Jr., to Awna Dana Shiflett, daughter of Curtis and Shawn Shiflett of Maypearl, Texas.
Michael is the grandson of Floris and Judy Bournias Schick of Fairfield, the late J.R. Kitchens Sr., the late William Doxie and Louise Mooneyham of Houston, Mississippi.
Awna is the granddaughter of Sam and Nadine Nunley of Maypearl, Texas, Karen and the late Winfred Shiflett of Waxahachie, Texas, and the late Neville Eldridge, Majorie Eldridge Rodgers and husband Rick Rodgers.
Michael is a 2011 graduate of Fairfield High School and a 2015 graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton where he majored in Bio-Chemistry. He has been employed as a teacher and coach at Fairfield High School for the past two years. He has been accepted to A&M Law School for the Fall of 2017.
Awna is a 2011 graduate of Maypearl High School and a 2015 graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton where she majored in Elementary Education. She is currently employed with Waxahachie ISD as a third grade teacher.
A July wedding is planned with a honeymoon in St. Lucia. The couple will reside in the Ft. Worth area.
