On November 8, 2022, voters in Texas House District 13 and District 56 will elect a State Representative.
“We Deserve Better GPAC” and the Senate District 22 State Democratic Executive Committee Man, Thom Hanson, invite you to attend a candidates debate Saturday, September 24, 2022, between Erin Shank (D) and Charles “Doc” Anderson (R), candidates for State House District 56. The debate will begin at 2:30 pm and will be followed by the State House District 13 debate, between Cedric Davis (D) and Angela Orr (R) which will begin at 4:30 pm. The debates will be held in the East Waco Multi-Purpose Center at 1020 Elm Ave, Waco, TX. (Doors open at 2:00 pm). Both candidates for each district have been invited to participate.
The event is free and open to the public. The candidates will answer questions from the moderators, David Schleicher, a local lawyer and former elected at-large member of the Waco School Board and Judge Morris L. Overstreet, the first African American elected to statewide office in the history of Texas in 1990 when he was elected to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, with our Host, Patricia Chisholm-Miller, McLennan County Commissioner
