Join the community at “The Tent” at the Freestone County fairgrounds on October 21-23, 2016.
Organized by Fairfield 9th grader, Belle Johnson, this 48 hours praise and worship service welcomes all people, churches, colors and ages to gather to glorify Jesus.
This young lady’s vision is to connect people in the community, and help strengthen those who have lost their faith.
Whether it is just you and a guitar, a praise band, a choir of 100, or a children’s choir, everyone is invited to sign up for a set. The event will begin at 9:00 p.m. on Friday and end at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
There will be no preaching, political or social agendas, or extended intercession from the stage; only worship, adoration and thanksgiving for Jesus.
5th Quarter will be held at “The Tent” on Friday night. There will be a meal on Saturday. Churches are invited to come to the event on Sunday evening, in lieu of their usual services.
It is hoped that youth groups and families will camp out during the event.
The event will not be associated with any particular church, although many have already their pledged support.
If you would like to volunteer for 10 minutes, or 10 hours, you are welcome to join the effort. Contact Betsy Monico at 903-391-9642.
Facebook users are invited to join ‘The Tent’ event for updates.
