Mary Sue Bonner, everyone’s Grandmother and “Little Mother” was called Home this past Saturday, December 3, 2016. Graveside services were held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Bonner Cemetery with Dr. Ken Pruitt officiating.
Mary Sue was born to Albert and Vergie Williams in Nacogdoches County, Texas on August 8, 1939. She was a proud graduate of Stephen F. Austin University. She arrived in Fairfield in 1963, hired as Freestone County’s Home Demonstration Agent. On September 2, 1964, she married Bobby Ray Bonner. After moving to Waco in 1966, she taught homemaking in several Waco area schools.
She is survived by her adopted son, Keith Bonner and wife Melody, along with adopted “in the heart” sons, Nicho Gomez and wife Sandra, and David Cathey, and her “apple of her eye” grandchildren – Tara, Rebecca, John L., Sheldon, Nicho Jr., Theresa, and Kyleigh. She is also survived by her brother, Harold K. Williams and wife, Pat, along with sister-in-law, Jean Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother – Andrew Williams, daughter-in-law, Diane Bonner, nephews- Rodney and Jeff Williams, & brother and sister in law – Harry G. and Martha Bonner. In lieu of flowers, in honor of her deep love for children, please make a donation to any well-deserved children’s organization.
Funeral arrangements were conducted by Capps Memorial Chapel of Fairfield, Texas.
