The Fuzzy Peach Festival in Fairfield is just over two weeks away.
Held July 19th & 20th, the annual event features live music, cornhole tournament, Little Miss Peach Pageant, Ice Cream eating contest, Water Slide, Food Trucks, Games, Exotic Animal Petting Zoo, Vendors, and Cupcake Eating contest.
New this year will be a Youth Talent Showcase Open Mic, and Gelly Ball will be added to the usual water fun activities.
For those interested in entering the Little Miss Peach pageant, a mandatory meeting is set for Thursday, July 11th beginning 6:30 p.m. at the Freestone County courthouse steps. Entry forms are also due that day.
Little Miss Peach is for kids ages 3 – 10 years, and suggested attire is cute, sassy and comfy.
Note: if you currently hold a title, you are ineligible to sign up for this pageant. However, you are invited to join us wearing your crown to assist as a volunteer for the event.
Entry forms for Little Miss Peach may be turned in at the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce office or to Creations Flowers & Gifts.

If you are interested in joining the 4th annual Cupcake Eating contest, be sure to stop by Dessert by MommaCakes (DBM) on the Square at 105 S. Mount Street, or give them a call at 903-389-0007.
“We’re looking for a few cupcake-loving, loud-mouthed, and competitive peeps to make us proud and entertain the crowd!” Participants will receive a DBM t-shirt, swag, respect among peers, one hell of a story, a place in DBM history, and their choice of actor to portray them in the DBM documentary.
This year’s winner will receive a $100 DBM gift card, baller status, and the DBM cupcake champion belt!
Anyone that would like to set up a booth with any type of games would be great, or sell a product to event attendees.
Vendor booths will be available on Friday from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. or on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
All vendors are FREE, but need to sign up by contacting Fairfield Chamber at 903-389-5792, or via email at chamber@fairfieldtx.com
Vendors must be set up by 4:00 p.m. on Friday and by 8:30 a.m. on Saturday in the designated areas.
Tents must be weighted down. NO stakes allowed in the Courthouse Lawn. Electrical outlets are limited.
Also on Saturday, July 20th will be the Peach Stroll shop local event with downtown retailers from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
