Margaret Elizabeth (Betsy) Keller, 85, died Monday, April 9, 2018 at her residence in Fairfield.

Funeral services were Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church of Fairfield with Dr. Richard Heyduck and Rev. J. Mack Strange officiating.  Interment followed at Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Keller was born October 17, 1932 in Corsicana to parents Ernest A. and Margaret Stubbs Strange.

She lived in Wortham and attended Wortham Schools.  She graduated from TCU in 1953 with a degree in Education.  She was an avid Wortham Bulldog and TCU Horned Frog fan.  She taught second grade at Robert E. Lee Elementary School in Corsicana.

She married John H. Keller, M.D. on July 16, 1955.  Mrs. Keller was a lifetime Methodist and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fairfield where she was once active in many groups and sang in the choir for a number of years.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband on August 24, 2012 and a brother, E.A. (Mack) Strange, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Susan Myers and husband Charles; Carolyn Newberry and husband Scott.  Three grandsons, Jordan Keller Myers and wife Kimberly; James Scott Newberry, III and wife Grace; James Andrew Myers, and wife Natalie and their son Jaxon; a granddaughter, Audra Myers Knowles; niece Mary Ann Strange and nephew, James Mack Strange. Special family and caregivers, Jonny Renee Childs, Alicia Thurman and Leslie Brackens.
