March, normally our third wettest month of the year, was our wettest month of the year so far at 5.83 inches of rain. We had five days with measureable rainfall with a greatest one-day total of 3.60 inches on March 28.
Normal rainfall for March is 4.33 inches. Total rainfall for the year now stands at 11.15 inches. Normal rainfall through March is 11.31 inches.
March temperatures were slightly below normal with high temperatures only in the mid to upper seventies during the latter part of the month. High and low temperatures of the moth were 87 degrees on March 17 and 32 degrees on March 14.

LOOKING AHEAD TO APRIL: Normal rainfall for April is 3.30 inches. We will begin to see temperatures in April in the low to mid 90’s. According to the 2018 Farmer’s Almanac, April temperatures and rainfall for east Texas will be near normal.
