Geocaching 101

There is hidden treasure out there just waiting for you to find!  Geocaching is like modern day treasure hunting.  Learn what it is and how you can participate.  We will be putting together your geocaching tools so you can get started right away.  Supplies are limited so please contact the park to sign up.

 

Tracks and Scat

Have you ever wondered what animals have been walking the same trails as you?  Learn to identify animals in the park by what they leave behind.  We will use model tracks and scat (poop) to narrow down which animal we might see.

Celebrating Ynes Mexia

At a time when women were meant to stay in and take care of the home, Ynes Mexia was outside exploring.  As a Mexican American botanist, she made many plant discoveries.  Come out and celebrate with us and make your own flower press.  We will have flowers to press or bring your own flowers from home.  Supplies are limited so please contact the park to sign up.
