Mannfried O. Bertrand, 92, of Kirvin, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Fairfield. Funeral services were held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Capps Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dale Hergett, of Kirvin Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed at Woodland Cemetery.
Mr. Bertrand was born July 25, 1925 in Orange, Texas to parents Olede and Marie Denise Veillon Bertrand. He came to Freestone County at an early age and graduated high school in 1944. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Cromwell Bertrand, Gibson Bertrand, Charlie Bertrand; two sisters, Rose White and Lula Flanagan.
Left to cherish his memory is a half-brother, Claude Layton of Conroe, Texas along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
