Louis Ray Quinn joined the Navy in May 1957. He came to Texas to Work in the telephone field as a contractor. He decided to make Fairfield his family’s home in 1976. That’s when he took a full-time job with Contel. He would often point out all the places he put telephone wires up and all the houses he went inside. If you knew Louis, you know he never met a stranger and loved talking to everyone and this job gave him the opportunity to meet a lot of people. He then retired in 1997 to spoil and spend more time with his grandchildren.
Louis, a beacon of kindness and love, will forever reside in our hearts. His legacy, exemplified by his hard-working demeanor and passion and love for his family will continue to inspire and guide us. As we cope with the loss of his physical presence, we find peace in knowing that his spirit lives on through his children.
