There are several events to choose from, this Fourth of July weekend in Freestone County, Texas.
Here are the details:
TEAGUE
The 92nd Annual Teague 4th of July Rodeo kicks off with a patriotic rodeo parade down Main Street on Thursday, June 30th beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Prior to the parade, will be the annual Burger Fundraiser at Teague Community Center. Get your dinner for only $8 from 5:00 p.m. until sold out.
Featuring Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc, Bulls, Tie Down, Breakaway, Barrels, Team Roping, and the World-Famous Wild Cow Milking, this three-day event hosts UPRA Rodeo at 8:00 p.m. nightly at the Teague Rodeo arena (Muttin’ Busting at 7:00 p.m.).
Tickets at the gate are $10 for adults, $5 for kids 12 & under.
Be sure to join the fun on June 30 – July 2, 2022.
FAIRFIELD
The 2022 4th of July Fireworks Show & Fun will be held on Saturday, July 2nd at the fairgrounds in Fairfield.
Come early at 6:00 p.m. for fun and activities. Fireworks will start at dark.
Vendors are welcome! Set up at 6:00 p.m. under the pavilion.

This event is sponsored by the City of Fairfield and Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
The fireworks show is put on by a professional company. Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department will be on site, as needed.
Readers are reminded that local ordinance states no personal fireworks inside city limits.
STREETMAN
The 25th Annual Streetman Lawnmower Parade & Celebration will be held Monday, July 4th.
Decorated entries should line up beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the corner of Main Street and Highway 80.
Parade starts at 10-ish a.m.
Please note that children under 10 (& animals) must have an adult with them in the parade, and must be supervised during the entire event.
Weather permitting, the parade route will be extended to pass by as many spectators’ homes as possible, for those who prefer to watch the parade from their own yards.
Be sure to stay after the parade for LOTS of FREE FUN to follow at the Streetman Fire Station.
Free lunch will be served: hotdogs, chips and drink (even if the parade is rained out!)
There will also be a dunking booth with local celebrities, snow cones, face painting, and more!
The Streetman Lawnmower Parade honor the memory of Tommy J. Bryant who started the tradition with an American flag mounted on just one lawnmower.
The tradition grows bigger, every year.
WORTHAM
Join the City of Wortham for the “4th on Main” Parade on Monday, July 4th.
Bring your wagon, ride your bike, gator, tractor, ATV, mule, motorcycle, horses, make a float, drive your old car, dress up your pet and/or yourself and walk!
Parade will start at 9:00 a.m.
All parade registrants should meet at the High School to be put in parade line-up order by 8:30 a.m.
Then, stay after the parade for fun, community fellowship, hotdogs, chips, water, snow-cones and waterslides!
Don’t forget your chairs, towels and Patriotic spirit!
All food and drinks are free for everyone (while supplies last).

–Fuzzy Peach two-day Festival includes Friday night Street Dance, Freestone County Go Texan Cornhole Tournament, Little Miss Peach Pageant, Ice Cream Contest, Water Slide, Food Trucks, Games & Music, Vendors & Stalls, Cupcake Eating Contest at Dessert By MommaCakes, Peach Stroll at local shops.
