The Fairfield ISD Board of Trustees has named Dr. Jason Adams as the lone finalist for their superintendent position.
Dr. Adams is currently the superintendent of North Lamar ISD, in Paris, Texas. His career in education spans over twenty-two years with stops in Madisonville, Huntington, Kerens, and Paris. He has served these districts in the capacity as teacher, coach, high school principal, and superintendent.
Dr. Adams received his bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University, and completed his doctorate at the University of Arkansas.
A state mandated 21-day waiting period is required before Dr. Adams can officially be hired as the superintendent of Fairfield ISD.
Dr. Adams, along with his wife, Crystal, and son, Kolby, are excited about becoming active members of the Eagle family.
There were forty-seven applicants for the open superintendent position, and four candidates were afforded an interview. Two candidates were asked to return for a second interview, and after consideration, the board voted unanimously to offer the position to Dr. Adams on Thursday, January 31, 2019.
“The Fairfield ISD Board is excited to bring Dr. Adams’ knowledge, experience, personality, and optimism to the Fairfield ISD family and community,” the release stated.
