Broken Crayons Restoration Life Center, Inc. is a newly formed non-profit, 501©(3) organization in Fairfield, Texas with the following mission statement:
“ENGAGE, ENRICH AND EMPOWER FAMILIES FOR SUCCESSFUL CAREERS, HEALTHY LIFESTYLES AND WELL-BALANCED RELATIONSHIPS”
We are governed by a Board of Directors: Pamela Brackens Barnes, President; Dexter Barnes, First Vice President; Sonoma Adkins, Secretary; Jeannie Keeney, Treasurer; Steve Black, Doris Brewer, and Katherine Jackson.
Our Board has a VISION for Freestone County families to provide health and wellness programs, career/job development, mentoring, tutoring, life skills training, computer classes, child care, food pantry and enrichment education for the entire family. Our objective is to develop resourceful, proactive, and well-balanced leaders who use their intellect, creativity and compassion to better the world. Our non-profit will also offer culturally sensitive family activities to improve relationships, career success and overall emotional, physical and spiritual health.
In the past 2 years we have participated in the back to school backpack drive and provide free haircuts for the kids, we have helped 20 kids each year with Christmas break non-perishable food boxes with and a gift card to help with their Christmas meal. We have collected and donated toys to kids and families in need. We have held a Freestone County Job Fair to h elp Freestone County citizens find employment opportunities. We have now acquired a building for Broken Crayons and have cleaned up and painted it, and now are asking for help in reaching one of our long-term goal of setting up a computer lab and tutoring center. We are in need of some office furniture and 4 to 5 computers and computer stations, or anything your business would be willing to provide to aid the community in enhancing knowledge and being able to succeed.
We would like to partner with individuals who share our vision and would like to assist us in reaching our goals. If partnering is not an option, would you consider a donation?
