Just outside of Wortham, Texas lays a lawn mower race track at Camp Shayla.
The LSMRA members come from around Texas to race one another on their super special racing mowers.
There are different racing classes, each with their own unique requirements, but do not worry, blades are always removed:
–AP (A-Prepared) Class
–IMOW (International Mower of Weeds) Class
–CP (C-Prepared) Class
–SP (S-Prepared) Class
–BP (B-Prepared) Class
–FX (Factory Experimental) Class
The next race will be Saturday, November 2nd 2019 with Hot Laps stating at 2:00 p.m. and the Heat Races following right after. They are free to spectators, and there are concession stands in case you get hungry or thirsty.
The Feature Races start at 4:30 p.m. and you do not want to miss out on.
These mowers are fast, some can go in speeds of up to 60 mph, and some can potentially go faster yet.
