The large criminal court docket scheduled for Tuesday January 24, and the civil case docket on Wednesday, January 25, in the 77th District Court was canceled due to the illness of District Judge Patrick Simmons.
These cases have been rescheduled during the week of February 6-9, 2017 according to Court Coordinator Misty Lewis.
“I don’t believe there is any cause for panic at this point,” says new District/County Attorney Brian Evans. “So far it’s simply a matter of rescheduling court days that Judge Simmons has available.”
