After the game had been decided but it did have its share of highlights.
Green hit a three pointer and Fairfield could only muster five points in the fourth quarter and the Ladycats doubled the Lady Eagles 46-23.
Keith scored 14 points and Keener added 10. The Lady Eagles were held in check with Josey Richardson scoring six points and Zamora added four in the loss.
With the win, Mexia drew to within a half game of Fairfield in the district standings.
On Friday, Mexia defeated the Palestine Ladycats 50-41 and made up the half game difference to draw even on top of the district standings.
If both teams win out, it will create a tie and the teams will have to play off for the top seed in the district.
This makes for some interesting drama with one game date left for both teams on Tuesday night.
Fairfield hosts Palestine and Mexia will host Madisonville.
