The Teague Lady Lions took a big bi-district win but would fall to the Lorena Lady Leopards in the area round and end their season with 21 wins.

Lady Lion guard Jolee Haley scored 27 points and had several assists and she and Reagan Heggins led Teague to a 68-27 win over the Rogers Lady Eagles in the first round.

They moved to Hillsboro High School for the second round to take on the Lorena Lady Leopards.  They would fall in the game 35-26.

The teams had great defensive effort with the Lady Lions holding Lorena to one of nine shooting in the first period.  Teague missed their first five shots of the game Haley and Heggins combined for seven points late in the period and led 9-4.

Haley scored in the first minute of the period and Teague would miss their next eight shots.  Avery Harris hit three three pointers from the baseline and the Lady Leopards took the lead.  Ashlynn Forge scored on the final possession of the first half and cut the lead to 17-13 at the half.       Heggins scored inside on a quick run by the Lady Lions and tied the game at 17-17 to force a Lorena timeout.  The stoppage of play worked since Teague would go on another eight-shot scoring drought.  Tristin Curry hit a short jumper to extend the lead back out to four, and then the final minute Heggins and Kori Pillette scored and the Lady Lions had to slim 24-22 lead heading into the final eight minutes.

Teague would see the ball not drop in the final period.  They missed all 12 shots from the floor in the fourth, however Lorena would only make two of their seven shots in the period.  Harris hit a shot and made five of six free throws to close out the game.  Lorena made nine of ten from the charity stripe to take the 35-26 win.
