Two Cross Country athletes from Fairfield High School were named for All-State honors by the Texas Girls Coaches Association.
Senior, Madison Smith, was named to the 2018-2019 Cross Country All-State team.
Senior, Morgan Coleman, was also named to the 2018-2019 Cross Country All-State team, as well as the 2018-2019 Cross Country Academic All-State team.
Both students are led by Coach Katie Wade.
The Texas Girls Coaches Association, through the TGCA Cross Country Committee, selects All-State teams in all conferences in cross country.
Athletes are nominated by member coaches, and the head varsity coach of the school and sport must be a member of TGCA in good standing before November 1st for athletes to be selected.
Up to 40 athletes in each conference may be selected. Athletes may be any grade classification from 9-12.
Student athletes selected for Academic All-State must be seniors and must have a GPA of 94 or above for grades 9-11.
