The Wortham Lady Bulldogs faced the Axtell Lady Horns for this year’s district opener on Friday, September 18, 2020.

Wortham beat the Lady Horns in five sets: Won 25-16; Lost 21-25; Won 25-14; Lost 27-29; and Won 15-6.

Leading for the Lady Bulldogs was Riley Winstead with 25 kills, 4 blocks and one dig.

Dakota Butler had 6 kills, 1 ace, 1 dig and 1 block.

RaShay Covey had 6 kills and 2 digs.

Madison Newhouse had 3 kills and 10 digs.

Cate Samford had 3 kills and 2 digs.

Setter Reagan Stuver had 35 assists, 8 digs and 1 ace.

Libero Kenlie Stuver lead the defense with 30 digs and one assist.

Defensive specialist Grace McCoslin had 12 digs, 2 aces and one kill.

Allie McCoslin had 2 digs, 1 ace and 1 kill.
