Kenneth Milligan was born on March 14, 1935, outside Kirvin, Texas to the parents of Henry Loyd and Miller Robinson Milligan. He was the youngest with older brother Edwin and older sister June. He attended schools in Kirvin and Wortham.
Kenneth spent 2 years in the Marines after school and was stationed in San Diego for most of his career.
Kenneth was born an independent soul and was a wanderer throughout his lifetime. He was always successful in his endeavors which were centered around selling products from autos, house siding, roofs, raw land, and anything that could be traded.
He was very personable with a friendly and mischievous smile.
Kenneth never married, but like the song “The Wanderer”, he had someone in every port his entire life.
Kenneth loved his family, and often visited his mother, brother and sister throughout their years. He was devoted to his mother and took care of seeing that she was comfortable and had all she wanted.
He stayed close to the rest of the family visiting his Uncle Robert and eating Aunt Ella Mae’s great food on many occasions. And he made time to see all of us cousins and nephews.
Kenneth lived the life he wanted, sometimes on the edge, but he also loved God and talked often of anxiousness to see his mother and Dad again in Heaven. He contributed many times to the Kirvin Baptist church and Woodland Cemetery where most of the family is buried.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his Father Henry Loyd Milligan, his Mother Tommie Lee “Miller” Robinson Milligan, his brother Edwin L Milligan and his sister June Milligan.
He is survived by two nephews, Larry Cameron and wife Nancy and Keith Cameron and wife Donna, and cousin Sherry Robinson Brazell and her husband Don.
Kenneth requested to be cremated and buried in the family plot in Woodland Cemetery in Kirvin Texas.
