“To make a difference in someone’s life you don’t have to be brilliant, rich, beautiful or perfect. You just have to care.” – Mandy Hale. These are words to live by and words that the staff of Kare-Inn Assisted Living embody daily.
If you are looking for a nursing home alternative in Freestone County turn your attention to Kare-Inn at 403 North Hall Street in Fairfield. Founded and run by Karen Bayless this facility is in a residential home that was remodeled to function as a warm and welcoming space for those in need of full-time assisted living care, as well as respite, day care and home health / hospice options.
Karen purchased the spacious three-bedroom home and completed renovations that include 36-inch wide doorways for wheelchair and walker accessibility, a walk-in shower and slip-resistant laminate and tile flooring.
The layout includes one large bedroom that could house a couple, and two medium sized bedrooms. The facility allows for a total of three residents.
Common areas include a spacious living room and kitchen, as well as a beautifully landscaped, secure backyard that residents can enjoy for relaxing, family reunions and private visiting.
Three attendants will provide 24-hour care, seven days a week including meals, medications, bathing, dressing and laundry. Meals are prepared from scratch, allowing staff to cater to special diets and preferences.
Staff includes a bookkeeper along with the owner, who has twenty years experience in the nursing home business. Bayless has been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, LNFA since 2006 and also worked as a nursing home social worker, five years prior.
Bayless also lives on-site, as the property includes an attached two-bedroom apartment.
