A warrant was issued and a juvenile has been arrested in the fatal shooting that occurred on the Limestone-Freestone county line in the early morning hours of July 24, 2019 according to a press release issued last week by Limestone County Sheriff Dennis Wilson.
The shooting occurred on Hwy 164 in Limestone County.
The victim, sixteen-year-old Jesus Aguilera, Jr., was flown from the scene to a hospital in Waco.
Three days later, Aguilera, a Teague High School student, succumbed to injuries sustained during the shooting.
A Funeral mass was held for the young man on Friday, August 2, 2019.
The homicide case is still an ongoing investigation, as per the press release.
