Graveside services for Judy Thomas Beene, 76, were held on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Dew Cemetery with Brother Carl Clark officiating.
Visitation was held prior to the service on Thursday beginning at the Dew Methodist Church.
Mrs. Beene passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at her residence in Fairfield.
She was born in Fairfield on June 14, 1942, to Alonzo & LaVerne Thomas. She grew up near Dew and Lanely and graduated from Teague High School with the class of 1960.
Judy married Henry Lewis (Bo) McAdams and shared some eight years together before being separated by his death.
She later married Earl Beene and was blessed with over thirty years of marriage together until being separated by his death as well.
Judy was a hair stylist at Shirley’s Beauty Box in Teague for many years. She moved to Arkansas and was able to spend time with her daughter and granddaughters before returning to Freestone County to Fairfield in 2011 where she remained.
Judy was known for her sewing and crafting skills and set up at the Fairfield Flea Market for several years. She also enjoyed growing flowers in her garden.
Her granddaughters and her great-granddaughter were the light of her life.
She is survived by one daughter, Keleasa Harryman & husband Randy of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Brooke Sharp & husband Jeff of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Hollie Hillison & husband Kyle of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one great-granddaughter, Kendall Grace Hillison; one step-daughter, Shelly Folis; one step-grandson, T. J. Brandon; one sister, Ann Farnsworth of Fairfield; two nieces, Rachel West of Fairfield and Tennille Snowden of Corsicana; one great-nieces, Jolie Snowden of Corsicana; many other relatives and friends, including a very special friend, Neoma Rudolph.
Mrs. Beene was preceded in death by two husbands; her parents; and one brother, Terry Lyn Thomas.
