Dear Editor,
Been reading a lot about the battle going on between landowner Todd Interests and Texas Parks and Wildlife. It seems to have reached an ugly stand-off and a win or lose situation.
I am wondering why TP&W leadership cannot get together with the CEO of Todd interests in a private meeting and try to come to some sort of an arrangement that would be acceptable to both — drop the Eminent Domain pursuit and negotiate for a perpetual easement by TP&W to operate the Park at the old site under leadership and accepting responsibilities, therefore.
That would leave ownership undisputed to Todd interests and allow his use of a certain area of the lake for his customers.
Joint usage. A win-win situation???
