Calling all SUPPORTERS OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS! It is time to stand up and be heard and seen. It is time for ACTION!
It is not time to wring your hands and complain. Do you love your public school? Do you want to keep local rural public schools across Texas?
We as citizens, per our Texas State Constitution, are promised a free education properly funded by our State Legislature. They need to be reminded of their responsibility. Maybe they think we have forgotten what the constitution promises us.

Save Our Schools, a public education supporting group, is holding a rally at our State Capitol on Saturday, February 22, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Participants will start gathering at the South Steps by 11:00 am. Texans 4 Public Education (T4PE) and other public school supporting groups are also sponsors.
There is a group, Austin Voices for Education and Youth, that is willing to help coordinate/ provide busses for 30 or more in a group that will give up a Saturday to show up and show the Legislature that Texans care and need our local public schools. Our schools need to be funded. Teachers and staff need raises.
If we don’t take a stand the legislators will think we are complacent and will keep steamrolling legislation that is not good for our students, teachers, or district.
Wear your PURPLE (Not RED Not Blue) to let legislators know we vote for those who support Public Education. This is a bipartisan issue. Our local schools are the cornerstones of our communities. We are the legislators constituents! We are taxpayers, parents, grandparents, business owners, school employees of all levels.
Listen to us!
