The Angelic Hosts came for Joe Pate, on Monday, December 9, in the Fairview Assisted Living Center of Fairfield among loving family and devoted friends. Viewing will be held Monday, December 26 from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with the family present for visitation from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Moore’s Angelic Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Wayne Williams and Evangelist Linda Pate.
Interment will be in the Old Spring Seat Cemetery, Donie, Texas.
Joe Curtis Pate was born to R. E. Pate, Sr. and Lorine Scott Pate in Donie, Texas. He grew up in Donie, and Donie Public Schools and the Teague Public Schools. He was a member of The New Spring Seat Baptist Church of Donie.
Joe was employed with Turner Feed, Buffalo Creek Ranch, all of Donie and M. D. Construction of Fairfield.
Joe Pate was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Billy Pate.
Those left to cherish his memory most are: His Daughters: Jennifer Becks, Livingston, TX and Theresa Pate Diggs, Cedar Hill, TX; Grandchildren: Malcolm Becks, Terrel Becks, Dante’ Becks, Devante Becks, Gloria Pate, Tania Diggs, Rashad Diggs, and Alexis Sampson; 8 Great-Grandchildren; Brothers: R. E. Pate, Jr, and wife, Linda, Waco, TX; John D. Pate, and Kenneth Pate all of Donie, TX; Sisters: Verlene Pate, Stony Beach, MD; Loren Becks, Donie, TX; Dorothy Dawkins and husband, Craig, Mexia, TX; Special nieces: Chelsie Becks, Saydren and Salayah Becks; other relatives and friends.
