Graveside services for James Leslie Latham, 74, will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery near Kirvin.

There will be no formal visitation, however, those wishing to view and say goodbye to Mr. Latham may do so between 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service.

Mr. Latham passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at the Freestone Medical Center in Fairfield.

He was born in Teague on August 15, 1944, and grew up in Kirvin. He was stricken with polio as a young child, but was able to overcome his disability and do many things in life. He helped his father work in the hay fields, enjoyed mowing his yard, and loved to go fishing. Leslie was an avid TV watcher.

He is survived by four brothers, Jess Latham & wife Bonelle, Roy Latham & wife Brucene, Fred Latham & wife Shirley, and Bobby Latham & wife Patty, all of Kirvin; one sister, Katherine Minchew of Fairfield; three aunts, Lois Latham, Bernice Latham, and Doris Webb; two uncles, Marvin Butcher and Henry Butcher; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Latham was preceded in death by his parents, James & Louise Latham.
