James Earl Chorn, 94, passed away November 20, 2021 in Palestine. He was born August 19, 1927 in Dallas to Lester and Sue Chorn. He married Dorothy Jean Duncan on July 1, 1957 where they lived in the Pasadena area until they moved back to the Streetman area in the mid 1990’s. James was a member of First Baptist Church and attended Caney Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by her parents, and wife Dorothy Jean Duncan Chorn. James is survived by his son Johnny Miller and wife Becky. Grandchildren; Andy Miller and his partner Brian Stephens and great grandson Clark Miller Stephens and granddaughter Tami Miller Keels. Nephew Jerry Kelley and niece Phyllis Looney.
Visitation will be 9:00 am – 11:00 am Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 2:30 pm Saturday at Mansfield City Cemetery.
