Teague Police Department is working with the Longhorn Council of Boy Scouts of America to establish an emergency services explorer post in our area. Emergency Services incorporates Police, Fire, and EMS giving young teenagers to young adults an opportunity to learn about all three career fields and potentially join our ranks.
Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS Career Exploring is a hands-on program open to young men and women who have completed the 6th grade through 20 years old, interested in a career in law enforcement, firefighting, or EMS.
The program offers young adults a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition, and other activities. Additionally, the program promotes personal growth through character development, respect for the rule of law, physical fitness, good citizenship, and patriotism.
A representative from the Longhorn Council is helping Teague Police and will be hosting an Open House, which is scheduled for Wednesday, December 7th at 6 p.m. at the Teague Community Center. Information will be provided about the program and costs during the open house event.
Come to the Teague Community Center, 512 N. Main St., Teague, Wednesday, December 7, 2022, 6:00 to 7 p.m. if you or your youth are interested. Parents are more than welcome to attend. You may also E-Mail The Teague Police Chief at policechief@cityofteaguetx.com for more information.
