A Fairfield couple has been arrested and charged with two counts each of Abandonment/Endangerment of a Child Imminent Danger (Felony 2) and Evading Arrest (Felony 3).

Savannah Lee-May Perdue, 19, and Jeffrey Eugene Spearman, Jr., 20, were arrested at the I-45 Café in Fairfield close to midnight on Saturday, March 31, 2018 after Fairfield Police Department was dispatched to a home on DeJay Street where they found a 5 month old and 16 month old left alone.

According to the officer’s affidavit, Fairfield PD Officer Natalie Wilson arrived on scene and met with complainant Stephanie Robinson, the children’s great-aunt.

Robinson had received a phone call stating that the two boys were found alone with no lights, and no air or heat.

The affidavit states that the 5 month old was strapped in an infant carrier on a rocking chair and the 16 month old was on the floor in the corner of a bedroom.

It’s reported that the parents took the children to the residence on Friday afternoon, March 30th and this was the last time the children were with supervision.

Both Perdue and Spearman remain in custody with at total of $70,000 bonds each ($30,000 per child endangerment and $10,000 for evading arrest).
