The Veterans Remembrance Park of Teague starts off the new year with a new look.

Founded in 2008, their mission is: Honoring the valor, fidelity, and sacrifices of our country’s veterans.

Over the last couple of months, many improvements have been made to the park. New LED lights were installed to provide light on the soldier statue and the Flags.

A new sign was placed in front of the Park. The previous sign and hardware were removed.

Landscaping and clean-up around the park took place; old trees removed; parking lot debris removed; and weeding all around.

Etching on the wall bricks was darkened to improve visual of the names.

Most recently, a gold star was added to the new sign as a special distinction to honor all the veterans who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Upcoming improvement is canopy construction to provide shading on both sides of park.

A special ‘thank you’ is offered to Scott Randant for maintaining the grounds around the Park.

Veterans who have served or who are currently serving can be honored and remembered at the VRP-T. Their name can be etched on the wall, on a brick paver, or on a bench. Costs of a brick paver or wall is $70.00. A bench is $700.00. Ordering forms are available on our website.

Currently, there are 224 veterans recognized on the ground pavers and 384 veterans recognized on the wall.

Mr. Matthew Gillet is Lead Coordinator for orders.

The next event at the VRP-T will be the Memorial Day Ceremony on May 26, 2025, at 10:00am. Please mark your calendar.

The VRP-T is a registered location with Wreaths Across America, a national non-profit organization. Wreaths are placed in the Park to remember the fallen veterans at the ceremony. The next ceremony will be December 13, 2025.

Wreaths can be sponsored yearlong on the webpage: www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/TXVRPT.
