Fairfield senior golfer Allie Hughes completed her high school career at the state golf tournament in Austin.
The tournament was held at Shadow Glen Golf Club in Austin and Hughes returns home with her second consecutive top-twenty finish in the state finals.
Hughes fired a 93 in the opening round and was back in the pack going into the second and final day of the competition.
She returned to the course and shot a sparkling 82, which was the ninth lowest score on the course and the round; and she would move up several spots to finish at 17th overall out of over 75 golfers.
She was tenth in the competition as a junior at the state tournament.
Jordyn Cruz of Odessa Compass Academy was the gold medalist for the lowest score. Ella Forner of Maypearl was second and Lauren Keirness of Gunter finished third.
