The 4th Annual Back to School Supply Giveaway saw a huge turnout on Saturday, August 3, 2024!
Giving away approximately 200 backpacks with school supplies, Fairfield native and founder of the event, David Brackens, said he couldn’t have asked for a better result.
“I love my little town,” says Brackens. “I really appreciate everybody that played a part in making this event happen. It’s a beautiful thing when everyone in the community comes together!”
This event offered free backpacks and supplies, a free hotdog lunch with chips and drink, Kona Ice snow cones, and rides on a mini ferris wheel and trackless kiddie train.
Providing music was DJ Ren Roberts. Other volunteers included Cam Hicks, Markey Asberry, Adrian Brown, Toni Abram, Carlos Means, Jimmy Nash, Zach Henderson, LaDarius Brackens, and Anthony Price.
