H&R Block of Fairfield Chosen as April’s Business of the Month

“I was very surprised, shocked, and honored to be selected as April’s Business of the Month for the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce,” explains Ann Hall, franchise owner of H&R Block of Fairfield.

Mrs. Hall is from Corsicana, where she first entered the tax business at the H&R Block. She worked there for three years before opening the Fairfield location in January of 1984. That’s a total of 25 years experience!

Her motivation for opening a Fairfield location is because at that time, there were no tax preparation businesses in the area and she was encouraged by the company to open up her own location.

Currently located at 416 W Commerce Street, the business was first opened on Keechi Street, where they stayed for only a few years before moving to the property they are now.

“I enjoy being able to help people!! People get so stressed, and I do everything I can to help alleviate that for them,” explains Mrs. Hall.

H&R Block – Fairfield is open year-round, whereas most locations are only open during tax season.

“I’m here for my customers,” she says. “I’m here to answer any of their questions. I have very loyal customers. Some just stop by to visit and for a cup of coffee, while others come to me for advice on many topics.”

Employees include Mammie Roberts who has been with the company 19 years as a Tax Professional; Marcia Dunnahoe, another Tax Professional who has been there for 11 years; and Wanda Adams & Yvonne Brazier, Client Service Personnel.

Miss Hall is a mother of 4, grandmother of 7, and great-grandmother of 6. She LOVES her Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers!

“I LOVE my customers too! They are welcome to call me; and I’ll do my best to work around their schedules,” she explains.

Regular business hours are: Monday thru Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during the summer; and during tax season (January 1 to April 15) hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
