The third stop on Teague’s Christmas Tour of Homes is 702 S 9th Ave, known as the “McMichael House.” This home is believed to have been built in the early 1900s.

Hal McMichael, lifelong resident and graduate of Teague High School, and his wife lived in the home for several years.

The current owners of the home, Kim and T.J. Thompson purchased the home in 2023. They fell in love with the architecture, hidden gems, and history of the home.

The Thompson’s have a passion for restoration and decorating their homes and have been working on several parts of the home for the past year.

The Thompson’s will be welcoming ticket holders for the Tour of Homes on Saturday December 14, 2024, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Tickets for the Tour of Homes are available to purchase at The Honeysuckle, Yoakum Mercantile, Prosperity Bank main lobby, Brookshire Brothers in Teague, and the B-RI RR museum!

Tickets are $10 each. All proceeds will benefit the B-RI RR museum and the Historic Teague Hotel.
