All Aboard the Texas State Railroad’s annual Easter Egg Express.
Trains will depart from the Rusk Depot on Friday, April 14th and Saturday, April 15th – the day before Easter! Departure times are 10:00am and 1:30pm each day.
Guests will enjoy a half hour ride through the East Texas piney woods to the Easter Egg Patch. There, passengers will disembark from the train for an hour and a half of family fun including Easter egg hunts, a hay ride, and numerous games and other activities including a chance to meet and take a picture with the Easter Bunny. The trip will wrap up with a half hour relaxing ride back to the depot.
Children are encouraged to bring their Easter baskets for the egg hunt.

Also, don’t forget about our Sunday Fun-day Matinee trains. This popular train departs the Rusk Depot at 1:00PM on the last Sunday of every month April through September. Sundays are truly fun days here at Texas State Railroad and for every adult ticket purchased, a child (age 2-12) rides for free.
