The Heart of Texas Fellowship of Christian Athletes will kickoff Super Centex Victory Bowl week on Wednesday, May 28th. 77 football players, 22 volleyball players, 17 cheerleaders, 32 baseball players, 28 softball players 33 basketball players, nearly 75 band members and 30 area head coaches make up this year’s 17th annual event serving 100 Central Texas high schools.
Competing from Freestone County include the following student athletes:
Red Team
Football: Trett Carroll and Kymani Johnson of Wortham
Boys Basketball: James Johnson of Wortham
Blue Team
Football: Justus Savage of Fairfield, Korey Silar and James Ingram of Teague
Cheer: Addison Bailes of Fairfield
Girls Basketball: Jimilay Nash and Jaci Abram of Fairfield
Making up bowl week will be practices, a Pep Rally, and most importantly the games.
Tickets for volleyball, baseball, softball & basketball games are $5. For football, they are $5 (students), $10 (adults) and will be sold on game day. The basketball games will be played on Thursday, 5:00 PM girl’s games, 6:30 PM boy’s games at Fairfield High School. Baseball and softball will be played on Friday at 6:30 pm at UMHB, gates will open at 5:00 pm. The volleyball game will be played on Saturday at 2:30 pm at University High School, doors will open at 1:00 pm. The football game will be played on Saturday at 10:00 am at Waco ISD Stadium, gates will open at 9:00 am. Parking at Waco ISD Stadium is $5. Game programs and merchandise will be available for purchase. All proceeds go to support the local FCA Ministry. All of the community is welcome and encouraged to come support these local athletes.
