Hazel V. Robinson, 90, passed from this life Saturday, November 26, 2022, in Fairfield. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at 12 noon at Woodland Cemetery in Kirvin. Visitation will be from 11:00am till service time prior to the graveside service. Officiating will be Bro. Don Vail of Caney Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Leevi Bosley, Robert “Mack” Hendrix, Monty Morgan, Harry “Bubba” Moore, Wesley Robinson and Mark Rogers.
Hazel was born on July 16, 1932, in Commerce, Texas to John Robinson and Minnie Opal Jones Robinson. She married Levi Edward Robinson on April 17, 1948 and were married for 47 years. She worked for the United States Postal Service in Kirvin as a clerk for 25 years before retirement and then worked at several stores. She was very active in the community and was a member of the Kirvin Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Jo Marie Moore and son-in-law Rodger Cotton. Hazel is survived by her children Betty Cotton, Shirley Latham and husband Fred and Allen “Buddy” Robinson and wife Karen. Nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a number of extended family members and friends.
