Fairfield Lake State Park hosted their 10th annual Christmas in the Park. This year was without a doubt one of the best turnouts for the event.

There were 28 campsites decorated for the Tour of Lights that were filled with Christmas Cheer. Several first timers of the event were very excited to be a part of it and veterans amped up their decorating skills with more and merrier decorations than ever before. A total of over 150 participants.

The weather seemed to have been made to order and the visitors came by the hundreds, over 600, the best turnout ever!

The Christmas spirit was everywhere you turned.

Santa was in his sleigh; the community wanted us to hire a real beard Santa and we were able to get one!, tasty treats of candy canes, cookies and the best hot chocolate topped with marshmallows, a campfire and the best part of a hayride.

Live music of local artists of spectacular Christmas carols were heard along with the jazzy sound of a saxophone, twinkle of Christmas lights, and even a Bucky the Christmas Beaver was there to entertain visitors as they waited in line.

There were so many generous donations of blankets and socks for the local Nursing Home Ministry.

It was a magical time for everyone involved and we are so thankful for being able to host this yearly event.
