The City of Streetman cordially invites you to attend the Grand Opening of its Community Facilities Partnership building on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 1:30 – 3:30 at the northwest corner of Hwy 75 and Houston Avenue – 201 & 203 North Houston, Streetman, Texas.
This facility was made possible through the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Community Enhancement Fund (CE Fund) 2015 program grant. Expert structural engineering services were hired to consult, due to certain specific requests about its design. A few adjustments were in fact recommended, and shortly therafter construction began. It is one of the only facilities of its kind in the State of Texas. The goal of the CE Fund is to enhance local community development by addressing public health and educational needs.
As a requirement of the CE Fund, the City had to develop a 10-year partnership with a health care and educational facility to meet the program requirements. A partnership with Navarro College was established to provide educational opportunities such as adult literacy, continuing education, work-force development, and adult educational courses for cultural and occupational advancement.
The City of Streetman also partnered with Parkview Regional Hospital to provide health care services in the form of adult and child wellness exams, immunization clinics, and other routine care visits. Business hours are to be determined.
