The Second Annual BBQ Cook-Off, hosted by Freestone County Area Go Texan Committee, is next weekend, April 28th & 29th at the W.L. Moody Fairgrounds in Fairfield, Texas.
The event includes $5,000 add-on prize money.
There will be Live Music, Horse Shoes & Cornhole Tournaments, and Vendors.
Proceeds from the event go toward local scholarships.
The BBQ Cook-Off is a IBCA Sanctioned Event.
Entry Fee is $200 a Team, and $50 for Cook’s Choice entry (no desserts).
Team meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, with Cook’s Choice event at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday’s schedule includes Chicken at 12:00 p.m., Pork Spare Ribs at 1:30 p.m., and Brisket at 3:00 p.m.
RV spots are limited, so get your spot reserved. $30.00 a night. Your campsite is also your cook area!
