For the last three years or so, The ‘Times’ has received almost weekly emails from one of the newspaper’s biggest supporters, who always signed off by wishing us a “great week.”
We were saddened to learn last month that those communications have come to an end.
Billy Patterson had a big smile and an even bigger heart.
He enjoyed life, actively supported his community, and loved his family well.
And Billy’s idea of family extended to include a rather large group.
He kept our publication posted on church activities; and submitted several feature stories about people in the community, a new business, and even a successful search for a lost dog.
His drone pictures of new construction in the area made one of our front pages.
The passing of Billy Patterson has left a huge hole in our community, and he will be missed – by his girls, his grandchildren, his church, and everyone who was privileged to know him.
Our hearts go out to his loved ones.
