Update: “There is NOT a positive case” on campus, according to a follow up email sent to Fairfield High School parents on Thursday, September 3, 2020.
After further investigation, the positive case turned out to be a family member, and not an individual at the campus.
According to the email, any student requiring quarantine will be contacted individually with instructions.
“We apologize for the disruption, but our approach with COVID situations will always be aggressive in dealing with the health and safety of our students and staff,” reads the email from FISD Superintendent Dr. Jason Adams.

Tickets will not be sold this week for Fairfield Eagles Varsity Football, as the Friday, September 4, 2020 game has been cancelled.
Parents were alerted Wednesday afternoon, September 2nd that a high school student had tested positive for COVID-19.
Students who were possibly in contact have been sent home to attend virtual classes for the next two weeks.
According to Superintendent Dr. Jason Adams, all protocols were followed.
Dr. Adams also states that the school district hopes to know by Friday about whether next week’s game will go on as scheduled.
