Donald Trump will be America’s 47th president, after mounting the most momentous comeback in political history, just four years after leaving Washington.

In Freestone County, this year’s election broke the record, with a total of 9,036 ballots cast countywide. This was well over one thousand more votes than the last presidential election, between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

The election with the highest percentage would be the 1992 presidential election between Bill Clinton and George H. W. Bush, which recorded a 70.53% of registered voters in Freestone County.

On the ballot in Freestone County were Special Elections for two school districts.

Voters in Buffalo ISD approved at $46,500,000 bond for the construction, renovations, improvement, acquisition, and equipment of school buildings.

It was unknown at press time the outcome of Oakwood ISD’s election for approval of the ad valorem tax rate of $0.6969.
