This morning, January 20th, 2022, just after 7am, Deputies Weinmann and Pickens responded a report of a major theft and Burglary of a business on Hwy 84 West. During the investigation it was discovered that over $10K in tools, equipment, and electronics had been stolen, along with a company work truck. A thorough investigation by the Deputies lead to locating a witness that was able to place a former employee of the business in possession of the stolen items, as well as the location where some of the stolen property was. With the information that was obtained, Deputies received an arrest warrant for the suspect and were able to make an immediate arrest.

The male suspect was charged with

* Burglary of Building (Felony)

* Theft of Property > $2500<$30K (Felony)

CID Investigators will continue the investigation as they try to recover all the property and the vehicle.

Great initial investigation by Deputies Weinmann and Pickens. Good quick work of removing a thief from our streets.
