Public Service Announcement for the citizens of Fairfield:
Starting at midnight tonight [Sunday, October 1], any and all citizen reports that need to be made to the Fairfield Police Department will need to go through the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office. If you reside within the Fairfield city limits, please dial 903-389-3236, press 1 at the prompt, to get Fairfield PD. If it’s an emergency, you need to continue to dial 911.
This is the beginning of our consolidated/combined Dispatch that will now see over all telecommunications for our entire county. We ask that you bare with us as we begin the adjustments that will soon benefit our county in better safety and security for our citizens and our law enforcement.
