Freestone County Sheriff’s Report

Mid-afternoon yesterday, FCSO Deputies Leatherman and Darby conducted a traffic stop west of Teague on US HWY 84. Shortly after making contact with the occupants of the vehicle the Deputies began a narcotics investigation which ultimately led to the arrest of both occupants of the vehicle.

The female driver was charged with the following:

–Possession Controlled Substance PG – 1 more than one gram less than four grams (3rd degree Felony

–Possession of Dangerous Drug (Class ‘A’ Misdemeanor)

The female passenger was charged with:

–Possession Controlled Substance PG – 1 more than one gram less than four grams (3rd degree Felony)

–Possession of Marijuana less then two ounces (Class ‘B’ Misdemeanor)

Yep…still illegal in Texas.
