Wortham Fire Dept.
We would like to take a minute and send out a great big thank you to one of our citizens for the gift of a custom engraved Bad Axe (at top). The Bad axe is a multipurpose tool used for forcible entry as well as many other functions. We can’t thank you enough for your support and this tool will certainly be put to good use.
Teague Fire
Every day is dangerous currently, but some are worse than others. Tomorrow (Monday) is forecasted as a RED FLAG WARNING day due to lower humidity levels and wind speeds increasing. The number of fires and their intensity levels are rising daily across the state. Pray for rain and for the firefighters.

TFD responded to mutual aid Fairfield FD on a three vehicle collision with entrapment. Streetman FD responded from a previous incident and performed both extrications prior to our arrival. TFD assisted with traffic control. Nice work by Streetman FD. Dew FD responded also.
Streetman, Fairfield, Wortham, and Waco (HAZMAT) were working a hazardous materials spill further up on I45 at the time. A busy day on the “BIG ROAD.”
Southern Oaks VFD
Folks, we all know it’s hot outside but please be aware of how dry it is. So many small things like a cigarette butt or a chain dragging on the road or a welding spark can start a fire almost instantaneously. Please be extra careful and hope we get some rain soon. Below is a list of fires in Texas. Please do your part to keep this list from growing.
