Teague Fire Department responded to a reported grass fire. Upon arrival, B97 found approximately 3 acres involved and began an attack on the fast moving fire. A total of 15 acres were burned. Mutual aid was received from Fairfield, Dew, Wortham, and Kirvin FD’s. Assistance was also received from FCSO, THD EMS, and FC Precinct 2. We greatly appreciate the help from all agencies. As of this post, TFD has responded to 60 calls for the month of July and approximately 300 calls for the year.

Wortham Fire was dispatched mutual aid to Streetman for a large grass fire. Upon arrival Grass 74 was assigned to attack the head of the fire which was spreading quickly with flames reaching ten foot. The fire was finally contained with the help of Southern Oaks Volunteer Fire Dept, Kirvin Volunteer Fire Department, and a motor grader provided by Clyde Ridge County commissioner PCT 4. Texas A&M Forestry Service was also on scene. Great job by all involved.
